I got this French documents safe Magaud de Charf. It came with two keys but has three keyholes, the one on the right seems blank (you cannot insert a key in it) it is for a lock to the right behind the hinges. I think that if someone tries to cut the hinges it will not open. Can someone verify and maybe give me some info on this safe because I could not find any, the seller told me it is early 1900 but I am not sure. It is big and heavy and with large rivets as in the photos.

Indeed this iron and wood safe is a "secret" safe, the key entries are part of the security of the safe.
When you bought it you have all the keys and the seller's assurance that it works ?
Where are you located ?

I have two keys and it works well, one for double lock and one to open. However I cannot find an exact picture of it or history. I want to restore it as similar to the original as possible. I am located in Malta Europe.
